A provocation worth sitting with. As AI capabilities expand, some developers will work above the algorithm — directing, orchestrating, deciding what to build. Others will work below — implementing, debugging, maintaining the systems that AI relies on.
The lack of reaction in the room when Jan posed this proved his point about developers and feelings. The question isn’t comfortable, but it’s the right one to ask.
